Made by Darkling is run by the wonderful Rachel from her home in Bangor.

Rachel is one of the most talented people that I have met in a long time. As well as being an amazing musician and singer she makes beautiful unique bespoke jewellery. She loves making statement pieces that are inspired by nature and the world around us.

Rachel creates necklaces and bracelets with a range different shaped beads so no two look the same. Most of her necklaces are length adjustable which is one of my favourite aspects of her pieces as I love to change up lengths for different outfits.

Recently Rachel has been specialising in sensory necklaces and bracelets which are perfect for mum’s with teething babies. The beads are made with untreated wood and silicone beads that are safe to chew.

Baby or no baby.. these pieces are still beautiful to wear without the easing of teething.

I love the difference in all of Rachel’s necklaces. Some are made with a single piece of carved wood that adds such a feature statement. I love that she offers a range of subtle more toned down jewellery but also bigger statement pieces that could add a pop of colour to an outifit.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better. Rachel also makes the prettiest earrings I have ever seen. If you like a little bit of sparkle you will love her glittery stud and drop earrings. These are handmade with a resin set onto an antique bronze.

She also sells some lovely shaped earrings that are unusual and very unique. These are inspired by Rachel’s love of space and nature
